Oxygen Administration
Why Oxygen Administration Training Matters
Oxygen administration remains one essential skill in emergency and healthcare settings. This method gives a patient extra oxygen while the patient is unable to maintain a sufficient oxygen level in the blood. It could be through nasal cannulas, masks, or bag-valve-mask devices, but the proper administration is done so that during periods of respiratory distress or collapse, the vital organs continue receiving the oxygen they require.
The Heart Starters inc. demonstrate to participants how to operate different oxygen delivery systems and respond to respiratory emergencies. In the course, participants will learn the use of resuscitation masks, bag-valve-mask devices, and tools to deliver supplemental oxygen, as well as the suctioning procedure. This is suitable training for lifeguards, EMS providers, or workplace personnel who must provide oxygen at their site.
